Penny Stegeman - Chief Operations Officer - Passenger Services talks about the Vegas X Train will have a huge environmental impact by getting travelers out of their cars and on to luxury passenger railway. Just 1% of the car trips on the route between Los Angeles and Las Vegas equates 10 118,114 car trips per year.  The Vegas X Train protects the beloved beauty of our fragile Mojave Desert. By removing these 284 cars from the road; one way, 4 days a week, just one Vegas X Train SAVES 2,268,032 pounds of CO2 emissions per year. The Vegas X Train will take travelers to Vegas out of their cars; placing them in luxurious surroundings while giving them the ability to do their part for the environment.

 "The Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc." has hired Vicki DiBernardo as its Director of Human Resource. She is building the Human Resource Infrastructure so they can find talented people for the X Train. Vicki is developing programs, job descriptions, salary structures, job codes and putting together a First Call program that will be giving preference to wounded Veterans.

Working on the X Train is not a typical project and will be a lot of fun. It will be great when people can ride the train from Los Angeles and Las Vegas without getting disgruntled in the traffic on the I 15 Freeway. The team at the X Train is a great group that she is looking forward to working with.

Working with new vendors that want to create a working relationship with the Vegas X Train. Proposals to hotels/casinos for advertizing opportunities. Creating marketing campaigns. Pushes the news about the X Train out on traditional media, social medial and search engine marketing. Deeply involved in making the X Train an exciting experience on the Vegas Party Train. Developing the Beveragetainers/Xtainers that will entertain on the Vegas X Train. The passengers will actually be able to vote for their favorite Xtainer on social media. Ms. Stegeman previously was on the Branson, MO District Marketing Counsel and Ad Committee for the Branson Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau and was the Vice President for FlyBranson Travel, LLC dba Branson Air Express. Ms. Stegeman was instrumental in the startup of The Branson Airports owned airline Branson AirExpress. ¨

Las Vegas, NV, January 9, 2013–The Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc., known as the Vegas X Train, planned luxury train travel service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas announced today it has selected  Don Primi and Rail Enterprises Inc. for their rail car refurbishment.
Founded in 1987, Rail Enterprises Inc.'s headquarters is located in Orlando, Florida. Don Primi, President of the train equipment and supplies company, Rail Enterprises Inc. will be executing the complete remanufacturing process of the X Train fleet including: upgrading all the rail cars interior and exterior mechanical systems such as: trucks, brakes, couplers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, exterior paint and interior surfaces such as upholstery, kitchen and bar furnishings.
“We are exploring where the cars will undergo the refurbishment process”, states Joseph A. Cossio-Barron, Managing Director-Asset Development of the Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. “At this juncture we believe Las Vegas could be the site. We have begun negotiations with a facility that is well suited to handle the project. We expect to have conformation within the next couple of weeks. We would like to see this add to Las Vegas local employment.”
